I don't think I have Ever had that kind of memory, especially not interlinked, and especially not sequential or related to any sort of numeric sense of time. Ever. Now, short-term is taking hits and I wonder about my relationship with language itself. But then plays are not my engagement, nor story-telling in any conventional sense. Me, I find the moment Now to be more than enough to hold my life. This is the only moment that requires my presence and attention.

But as always, I listen to you and most oft find some limb where I set for a while and appreciate. Something always comes. I listen.

Your language is always full of music that leaps between thoughts, but always in the now. I think that is beautiful.

I have to agree, memories certainly don't come flooding back for me either. Hard work this stuff.

“They come like links of a thick chain I pull out of dark water. I can often feel the weight of them before I know what I’ve got. Each linked to the next.”

Such a powerful description and exploration of memory.

Thank you Ren
